This group is not only dedicated to hiking / snowshoeing but also kayaking / biking or all kinds of outdoor sports, outdoor activities and meeting other local adventure enthusiasts. Most hikes will be day trips local trails in VT with occasional treks to Adirondacks, Catskill in NY, WHITES in NH or AT in Maine. This group was started for more of the laid back type of hikers that are looking to do an average of 2 to 5 miles a hike and just enjoy getting out and exercising, maybe hitting a brewery afterwards to enjoy a cold one (nothing tastes better than a cold beer after a good sweat!) or just enjoy the company of your fellow hikers. VT Lake Champlain Paddlers is a paddling group designed for "social" paddling with a group. In general, most paddles will be open to all types of kayaks and canoes, but some events may restrict boats to a certain type. We welcome paddlers of all skill levels to join us. Our home base will be Smuggs as it is probably the best season pass in the area but I expect expeditions to Bolton, Sugarbush, Jay and wherever adventure leads.
