CNYO is an orienteering club. Orienteering is running (or walking) in the woods with map and compass. We teach map reading skills and offer fun events involving navigation and running (or walking).

Orienteering involves navigating a course generally in a park setting using a map and compass to find a series of markers called controls. It's the perfect "thinking sport" for people of all ages, families, nature lovers and serious athletes alike. ROC sponsors about twenty meets at local parks each year.
