How to find us
"Meet just inside the front door."
This hike is in Rocky Mountain Park. It can often be called "a hike into winter" in mid November. My past experience is that by the time we get to Fern Lake there will be a moderate amount of snow. The major reason to do this hike in November is the possibility of seeing the beautiful ice deposits on the tree limbs near Fern Falls.
The hike is about 8-9 mile round trip, with about 1500 feet of elevation. Be prepared for snow and ice, but its highly doubtful that snowshoes will be needed.
Meet at the Stone Cup in Lyons at 8AM. We'll car pool to the trail head from there. If you have a pass for Rocky Mountain Park, I suggest you bring it.
