Meeting Description

Who

Those who want to make the most out of their time on this planet, those who crave the adrenalin rush of pushing yourself to your own natural limits, those who love trying new & wacky things, those that recoil in horror @ the negative reasons below!!

Why

Easier to give reasons NOT to come : if you cant swim, if you are rather sane & sensible, if youd rather sit at home with the knitting/crossword/kids screaming, if you are quite content with your 9-5 office-home-sleep-office life......

Organized by

"Travel etc will be organised nearer the time for all those paid up."
--Suzanne O

Details

**** CANYONING MADNESS ****

Are you sitting comfortably?? I think you might need to.....for this is one for the truly adventurous amongst us....

Have you ever had the pleasure in meeting folk in your life that tell you to go take a run & jump?? No??

Well Im going to.....

On Sunday 18th May I want you to do just that.....join me on what promises to be just about as much fun as you can handle!!

Canyoning is the name of the game - we travel down into a beautiful natural gorge in the middle of the stunning Pitlochry countryside & spend a couple of hours 'playing' in the water biggrin- dropping off waterfalls, adrenalin pumping cliff jumps into pools below, abseiling 30ft into the river, & generally having the best amount of fun you can have in a wet suit!! biggrin

"Here's something for everyone. If you have never experienced canyoning before then this won't disappoint and if you've canyoned before you still won't have experienced anything like this. Rock Slides, scrambling, white water swims, jumps and also the ultimate 'via ferrata' cable traverse to the slide drop!

Plenty to excite and if some parts are not for you we always have an alternative route."

This trip is truly unmissable for those looking to push their adventure levels!

The price for such pleasure?? = £50pp (1.30-5pm half day event exc travel time - so great value!)

MIN group size - 6
MAX group size - 18

Closing date for deposits = Friday 4th April - £25 required to secure your place.

Deposits will then be paid to the events company the following day after which your deposit becomes non-refundable. If you do have to drop out after this day (& please avoid this unless absolutely necessary - ie. commit to this event in full please! - serial 'No show' folk need not apply as its not fair to take up a space someone who desperately wanted to go could have taken. Thanks.) then you will have to find someone else to take your place & sort out them reinbursing your deposit slot. After deposits have been paid this is no longer the organisers responsibilty as I have enough to do. Thanks.

Full payment (remaining £25 = £50 total) is then due by 1st May at the latest.

(again non-refundable once paid over to the events company unless YOU can find a replacement for your place)

Please ensure you use your RSVP message section or the event chat bit below to mark the dates your payments are sent/when paid in full etc & have some form of reference to yourself for the bank transfer so I can match them up. Please email me (Suzanne O) for bank details for payments.

What you need to bring : swimming costume, towel, old pair of trainers you dont mind getting wet (will be submerged in the water 50% of the time), a sense of adventure & fun! You need to be water-confident for this event!

Provided : wet suits, helmets, wetsuit gloves & socks, fully qualified instructors/safety guide, lots of water & a truly brilliant day out/experience!

Sign up now in order to not miss out!!

biggrinSuzanne biggrin (*busy running round all excitedly now!! woohooo!!*)

"An utterly amazing one-off experience but now an experience I am dying to repeat"

"Wow! You were so right about the Canyoning. I thought that I had done it before, but it certainly was not like that. My fave bit was being lowered down that big waterfall!!"

Hey guys. Myself and my guest are heading up on the Sunday morning. Might even pop into Pitlochery for a light lunch. I can take two people in my car. I know the area quite well so know exactly where Nae Limits is. If anyone is unsure they can tail me. Sadly don't have Monday off (boo) so will be heading straight back after. You can email me islaybrown@hotmail.com, I am based at the top of Leith walk.

"WOW - an experience I will never ever forget....or repeat for that matter!! LOL - I loved the jumps & slides & bits IN the actual water - looking up to the stunning rock formations & canyone above & below...it was just stunning! My fear of heights held out but I developed a new fear of scrambling/boulderin g/rock climbing over the slippy rocks...my fear built as the afternoon went on & had me all but paralysed towards the end - my legs felt like 10 tonne weights & I really struggled to move them & get myself home....safe to say Ill never be rock climbing or gorge walking in my lifetime...but it was a great group & fun in hindsight! Ill never ever forget it. As for the slide & drop....never been so utterly terrified in my entire life!! - even having done a skydive....scared beyond belief....you've got to go there at least once right?? ;) Glad I did it?? Hell yeah! :) "
