We will all be hanging out with the tigers and lions in Africa!

... wild animals... tribal people... stunning vistas... African sunsets... two great game parks... playing amongst the world's highest sand dunes, the world's largest waterfall . . . nature, penguins and parties at the tip of Africa.

You'll traverse the southern third of the African continent, from the majestic Cape of Good Hope to the awesome Victoria Falls in Zambia. Your route will take you through the vineyards of South Africa, amongst the sand dunes and animal-filled savannas of Namibia, and along the rivers and estuaries of Botswana.

The western media tends to paint all things Africa with a single brush. In fact, the continent is among the most diverse on the planet, culturally, ethnically and politically. (Good thing you'll be seeing it with an experienced Africa traveler!) Your route traverses that section of Africa that is the most stable and safe.

Your route includes many destinations to which there is no public transportation. At some there are no hotels. So you'll be traveling in an overland vehicle especially designed for African conditions. Your vehicle is equipped with seats to give you (and everyone else) the best views possible while still having enough room to carry all the gear.

Your tour guide Wil first traveled to Africa 15 years ago when he ran a guest house in Malawi with comic results (imagine a sort of African Fawlty Towers). Since then he?s been a resident of Johannesburg and Cape Town and worked as the Editorial Director for South African Airways. He?s also written several travel guidebooks, reported on Africa for US News & World Report and directed The Travel Channel Online. Wil was the co-host for Urban Diversion?s Thailand trip. But he has never since attempted to run another guest house.

Feel free to contact him about any and all trip matters.
