Details
Enjoy winter with a walking tour of western Queens. We will explore the historic areas of Long Island City, Sunnyside, Woodside and Jackson Heights. Landmarks will include Sunnyside Gardens, Phipps Gardens and the Long Island City and Jackson Heights Historical Districts.
We will conclude with dinner at a vegetarian Indian restaurant in Jackson Heights.
Though this will be conducted at a moderate pace, it will be at least 7 miles and you will get a good workout. Public transportation is available and strongly encouraged. $5 fee for non-members.
