"CSI: Cool Scavenger Investigation" will take place in Atlanta's Grant Park from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with an announcement of the winners and a celebration to follow immediately afterwards. Look for us in the grassy area behind the Cyclorama near the green pavilion with the blue balloons.

Teams:
Start forming your investigative team now! Teams must consist of 2-5 people. Bring the whole team, or just show up on your own and join a team of new friends. The registration fee is $5 cash per person. Don't forget to choose a team name. Competitors do not need to be official members of the Atlanta Scavenger Hunters.

Starting Point:
Look for the blue balloons in the grassy area behind the Cyclorama near the green pavilion. Team registration begins at 2:00pm and ends at 2:15pm. All team members must be present at registration and stick together throughout the event. No splitting up!

What To Bring:
Digital Camera (at least one per team)
Cell phone (at least one per team)
Comfortable walking/running shoes
Photo ID, cash/credit cards for purchases at after party
Any other tools you like (maps, guidebooks, etc.)

Finish Line:
Teams will be notified of the finish line/celebration party at the start of the hunt. It will be located close to Grant Park. Teams must be on time for the finish, or points will be deducted for every minute. Even if you don't complete the scavenger hunt, feel free to join us at the finish for a wrap up and after party.

Charity Donation:
Each team should select a charity they're playing for. It can be any charity or non-profit organization, as long as it is registered 501(c). The event registration fees (minus event planning costs) will be donated to the charity of the winning team.

I'm looking forward to meeting more of you crazy scavenger hunters! Keep my cell number handy in case you can't find us at the starting point - [masked].

Cheers,
Leslie

Hey scavenger hunters, Andria, the other CSI hunt lead, has the complete score sheet and will be posting that as soon as possible. I can tell you that THE RECIDIVISTS were the big winners, and the charity donation will be made on their behalf benefitting Huntington's Disease. Congratulations!

So will there be a posting of scores? I don't think we won, but would love to know how we placed! =) btw, what restaurant would not be excited about a full house? Sounds weird to me

Hey everybody, I just want to let you know that Andria and I did visit Dakota Blue in advance and talked to someone about ending our hunt there. They weren't excited about having us, but there weren't a lot of alternatives in the area. I did follow up by leaving a message indicating that we'd try to spread our group out at the pizza place, as well. That message must not have been received or communicated to the staff.

I really enjoyed the afternoon in the Park (fantastic weather), hunting all over for evidence!!!! Thank you so much for getting this set up! Awesome job!
    •  I had a great time with this. It was inventive and fun. It took us all over the park! I showed up by myself and was on a team so easily. Good people and good times. I do agree that someone should have told the restaurant that we were going to be coming. They were not prepared and though they liked the business, they know the service suffered because of it. Because I know what it is like to work in the service industry and that to take care of this was a phone call, I rated it a 4. if I could give it a 4.75 I would It was amazing and fun and so creative. But the discourtosy we did to the restaurant at the end left me leaving feeling like we did something wrong.

Great pre-planning and we will work on improving the tallying at the finish line.
    •  this was my first hunt, and it was fun. I think I lost 20 pounds hiking all over the park..lol, but it was great fun. looking forward to the next one!!
    •  Leslie and Andria did a fantastic job with this hunt. The clues were clever, the difficulty was right, and I got to learn my way around Grant Park after having lived here for fifteen years.

    •  a great time! I'm amazed out how much work they must've done to make everything run so smoothly!
    •  All the teams were creative and had a fun approach to the hunt! We'll work on making the scoring process quicker in the future.

It was a great concept and alot of fun. I will do my best to sign up for the next one that comes up.

Had a lot of fun. Very enjoyable. Only criticism I have is the waitress at Dakota Blue said they were not told we were coming. In the future, I would let the place of business know. I enjoyed the race ending at a place to get drinks and food though!
