I'll be getting on the 8:50AM train from grant central when it arrives at 125th st at 9:01AM. I'll get on the last train car. (that's me in the picture at breakneck ridge)

We will be hiking from the trailhead at breakneck ridge into the town of Cold Spring. We will first conquer breakneck ridge and take in the amazing views of the hudson. We'll have lunch in a valley between the ridge and bull hill where old farm house ruins still stand. After lunch we'll hike bull hill and descend into Cold Spring. Cold Spring is a cute little town, but most importantly, it has a couple of convenient establishments for grabbing a cold drink and some food. It also has a metro north station to catch a ride home.

The total distance is around 8 miles. The first mile is, by far, the most challenging part of the hike.

Proposed Route (Google Maps)
