About New York Hiking and Outdoor Adventurers

This meetup was founded by a climber from NYC and is now organized by a hiker from NJ. Only in America.

We are a group whose sense of adventure draws us outside. Someday, with your help, we'll be climbing Everest, snorkeling the Great Barrier Reefs, running with the gazelle on the Serengeti and howling wth the wolves in Alsaska. Until those days come, we'll stick to adventures that are closer to home (and reachable by public transportation).

All are welcome to join and participate as long as your physical conditioning is such that you can walk up a few flights of stairs or weave through the tourists in midtown without needing a nap afterwards.

After our events, we'll do something social afterwards. If the weather is bad enough, we'll skip right to being social.
