When: Sunday, December 2, 2007, 11:00 AM

Where: Miami Gliders
28700 SW 217th Avenue

Description: SAILPLANE GLIDERS, FLYING & BBQ

When: Dec. 2, 2007 11:00 a.m., 10 a.m. at the carpool site.

What: Join Mosaic Jewish Outdoor Club of South Florida for flying in a Sailplane. These rides are a breathtaking trip in a whisper quiet aircraft. Soaring with eagles, gaining altitude purely by the forces of the nature, imprints an unforgettable experience never forgotten by those who have tried it. It is especially wonderful to watch the take-offs and landings of the sailplanes, and a great photographic opportunity is sure to exist for our wanna-be pilots when soaring through the sky. Each plane only holds one person, so we will be staggering the flights throughout the day. Max weight for aviators: 242 lbs per person.

Additionally, Miami Gliders will be providing a great BBQ for all wannabe aviators and those just coming out to watch! Ball sports, Frisbee and fishing (bring your own equipment) is also available while waiting for your flight or when just watching! The event will start at 11:00 a.m. and continue until everyone has flown (approximately 3 - 4 pm). Please be prepared to wait, as aviation activities are notoriously late due to weather, aircraft, etc. You will be flying with a certificated glider pilot to ensure your safety in the air and every single pilot they have ever taken up, has always come back down again...albeit, eventually. In addition, for those who wish, we will have available, their Cessna 172?s, a 4-seater aircraft (flight must be full to use (3 people)) at a discounted rate for a beautiful flight over the Florida Keys. All aviators eat free.

Where: The Miami Gliders, a division of Unusual Attitudes Inc., Homestead General Aviation Airport: 28700 SW 217th Avenue, Homestead, Florida 33030 (786) 243-7640. See http://www.miamiglide....
